Battery share with Pixel Buds (or other devices) on Pixel 6 Pro - charge Buds using back of Pro

I realized I saw this function when looking for something else recently. So I decided to give it a try. Turned it on and tried charging the Buds. No charging light on a few attempts and then the light came on the Bud case. But I lost it just as quickly and can't reestablish. Anyone tried using the feature? How sensitive is it? While I can charge the 6Pro using a wireless charger with a case on, I wonder if the case interferes with the Pro charging something else. I did remove the case for my experiment and only had that one brief success. More curious than anything.

I tried the buds oro case on mine and no issues , i place it towards the middle make sure the toggle for power share didn't turn off because it will if not placed correctly
