Brightness of Lock screen Pixel 6

When I first received my P6P, (my first Pixel phone), I also felt that the lock screen was a little too dim. I played with all kinds of settings to no avail.

Since then, I've gotten used to it. It's just bright enough to get the job done.

I actually prefer it now. I like that it's subtle.

Still, I would prefer some level of user control.

I'm making the assumption that your phone's lock screen is the same level of brightness as mine, and that you don't have a different issue going on.

It's puzzling. Here's a photo of my 6 Pro's lockscreen -- definitely not dim (although it does auto-dim after about 8 seconds, and then turns off after 10).

My Lock Screen exhibits the same as yours but the 8 seconds on my Pixel 6 is only 3 seconds and is too dim to be read easily.

Have you also tried chatting with Pixel support through the system settings? Go to Tips & Support, then Contact Us.

No, I haven't tried that because all my previous sessions with them were a waste of time. But I will give it a try.

Apparently Pixel 6 support CHAT will not work with TEXTRA, my SMS app. Right now, II don't have the time to solve THAT problem. I hope the rest of my day goes better.
