Cracked Screen

My screen on my phone has been cracked for awhile now. The crack itself does not bother me but the pressure does. At random points, usually about once a month, my phone will start pressing random things etc. I know that its the pressure on my cracked screen but when this happens there is no way i can do anything on it. I understand that i can get a new screen and this will probably fix my problem, but in the meantime, is there any way i can prevent my phone from doing this. Thank you
