Cubot Dinosaur - Spotify & Notification Issues

I have a Cubot Dinosaur running Android 6.0. I've only had it a few weeks, but I notice that when using Spotify, the songs will randomly cut out and the app will close, without any warning. This happens both when using bluetooth and when using headphones.

A possibly connected problem is that I don't always get the notifications when I get a message on Messenger or Whatsapp. I only get them sometimes. I'm also a user of the Whatsapp Desktop app, which sometimes disconnects after a while.

I actually had this model of phone previously, which broke down due to an unrelated problem, but I didn't have these problems with it.

Does anyone know what might be causing this?

Welcome to Android Central! Does Spotify close when the screen is still on, or only when the screen is asleep (while you're still listening to Spotify)? If so, do you have any power-saving modes or 3rd party battery-saver apps installed? Or do you have Restrict Background Data turned on in the Settings>Data Usage​ menu?
