so I always buy dual sim unlocked SX phones, had no issues with the S7 or S8

I just bought 3 x S9 plus dual sim phones.

I only unpacked one. I am on the Tmobile network. I checked the APN settings all seems fine.

But, odds things are happening

1) when i make any call i immediately lose 4g, goes to H mode. then as soon as i hang up the phone goes back to 4g. Call quality is poor as i guess i am not getting voice over LTE
2) should a S9 plus be saying 4g or LTE in the display?
3) when I try check the bands with *#2263#, i get error Connection problem or invalid MMI code - is that the wrong code to check bands?

ok i did some research, I think the phone is legit, but the seller mislead me. When i look at the official specs i get - this is missing a lot of tmobile LTE bands

The dual SIM international phones never really work well with us carriers.

this exynos chipset on US carriers is a total disaster.

Also the fact that samsung OEM lock disables the phone for 7 days is mind boggling.

RMAing all 3 phones. Will just get a onetouch 5T dual sim.

Have you received May update for S9+? It has many fixes on call quality issues. Not sure. if it has fix for your issue.

Won't really fix his issue. The issue here is mainly the fact that US carriers handle things differently from the rest of the world, so bringing a non-US phone into the US for daily use will really cause several issues.
