droid 3 touch screen help

I have a droid 3 for just over a year now and i woke up this morning with not being able to unlock the screen, it doesnt sense touch... I tried taking battery out several times and i went into verizon to see what they could figure out, they did a hard reset by holding down power and vol buttons and now still nothing with the screen, wondering if anyone knows how to fix it or if its even worth fixing, i went back to my old blackberry and really dont like not having the games and all the extras i have on my droid 3... Any comments,ideas welcome, thanks

Only you can say if it is worth fixing. However, on xda-developers.com, somebody posted a walk-through series of steps for replacing the screen: xda-developers - View Single Post - Motorola Droid 3 Screen Repair Take Apart Repair Guide

It looks like a lot of bother to me.
