So back in the heyday of Firefox OS, there was a project called B2Gdroid which intended to make the Firefox OS GUI into a launcher you could use on your Android devices (heck, it even shows Android apps along with the Firefox OS web apps!). The problem is that not only would you have to switch default launchers every time you wanna use it (or just have a dedicated device laying around), but it also crashes on newer versions of Android (I test on my Galaxy S8 running Pie). So at this point every user who would wanna try this out would rage give up and call it a day. Well, everyone except me. I happened to have a copy of an unofficial "lite" version of VMOS (downloaded from everyone's favorite Russian phone hacking site 4PDA.ru). So what I did was mod that thing to have B2Gdroid as it's default launcher, re-signed the APK and POOOOOOF! I now literally have a Firefox OS/Android 5.1 VM app that I can fire up at will. Although a tad laggy due to B2Gdroid being quite buggy, it works (internet works both on Firefox and the browser the creator of the unofficial VMOS apk included) and is usable for random messing around. I haven't shared the APK yet.
