They should find a way to incorporate the ticker into the main display and give you the option to disable it if you don't want to use it.

I like the idea of the secondary screen in principle, but I think they should pair it with OLED screens. No backlight = no bleed-through between the two screens. And yeah, smaller main screen doesn't sound great. I have large-ish hands and want a phone the size of the G4.

Was disappointed when I heard about the smaller main display and the ticker display. Been looking for an upgrade to my G3 and not so sure about the g5 now.

This will be a perfect g5

5.4 inch screen with at least 77% screen to body ratio
(Leave the second screen to the v series)
1440p screen with
Either a brighter quantum ips screen or a plain old amoled (I don't really mind which they use)
Slide in removable battery 3120 mah with quick charge 3.0 (at least 5 hours of screen on time compared with about 4 on the g4)
Full metal design
20+ MP camera
8mp front camera
Better microphone and bitrate for video
60fps 1080p and 4k video
SD 820 processor with 3.5 GB ram (hopefully 4)
Lg ui closer to stock android.
550-650 usd for the bass 32gb im guessing (with micro SD expansion)

That's pretty much all I want.
It'll be cool if lg released an lg g5 compact or sorts as a sort of successor to the g2.
A cheaper, slightly lower specced, smaller g5 bascially.
For example:
5.1/5.2 inch 1080p screen
Same camera on g4
With SD 805
3000 mah battery
Quick charge 2.0
Micro SD card
16 GB base with micro SD
Base price should be 370 usd.

Yep, same here. 5.3" display is a no go. I can't even go back to the G4 after moving to the V10.

Feel the same way. Loved the size of the G4 until the V10 came out. Now I don't think I would want a phone smaller than 5.7. I got used to the screen size very quickly.

I hope it will have the same DAC as the V10. Heard so many good things about it in the reviews.

Agreed. Also the second screen should stay with the V10 series. If that's gonna be one from here moving forward.
