I am not sure I am impressed or not, trying to figure that out. Seems to hold up well when not using it constantly, taking pictures kicks the crap out of the battery, I can tell you that much.

Hard for me to say, I think I am developing this idea that I should be over 90% all the time, but I do forget the phone charges and then stops over night... So when I take it off the charger probably has not been charging for a few hours. When I pull up the Battery Usage it says I can get almost 11/12 hours... Which seems good, guess mentally I just do not want to getting that l

You are 3 generations behind talking such nonsense. Every serious reviewer considers the phones technically on par. They are just alternatives. No need for bashing.

I have the 7 plus, have since last December and I've enjoyed my time with it, I've gotten excellent battery, good performance, and decent to good pictures, my wife has had the S8 since launch and theres no way anyone can say they're technically on par. screen, cameras, design, Samsung pay working almost everywhere and Apple Pay being so limited, biometrics, they aren't close let alone on par.

My battery life is much better with my new S8+ than my former Note 5.

How are you all getting so much out of the battery? I bought my s8 a few days ago and it showed 12 hours max on a full charge. I did a factory reset yesterday and for some reason the estimate doesn't show up yet, i don't know why it's taking so long. I've lost 3% in 13 minutes just scrolling through this thread

Go to settings, device maintenance. Let it run , follow what it says.
Go to battery. Run i think its optimize, then do memory.

Get rid of email you dont need.
Get rid of apps you don't use.
Turn down yer brightness some.
Take brightness off auto.
I rum google actively and click on the day it shows and change it to the beginning of time.

Then go to the top three dots and delete history.
I'd do all this before device maintenance.
On a new phone.
Yer phone needs time to learn.

No that's fine, however, experts recommend that you don't charge it past 85%. It helps with longevity. But more importantly, dont let it drop below 30%. That really takes a toll on the long run

May I ask why you wantes to know if it was a fresh install? Does smart swith have sth to do with battery life. I did a factory reset and then used smart switch.

My S8 will go for about two days on a full charge. That's with Twitter and Firefox allowed to run in the background popping up the occasional notification, and Android 7. I do work from home so it's almost always on WiFi but also always on Voice Over LTE.

BK Package Disabler installed, a stack of things disabled (e.g. software updates, Bixby, OM Customize), Play store updates all turned off.

The one thing that I did notice that drained the battery heavily when I enabled it was switching the the highest resolution/quality display mode. And to be honest I didn't notice much if any improvement to the display when using it as I do.

3% in 15 minuten is goed. Ik gebruik altijd als vuistregel dat ik 5 uurtjes SOT behaal met een volle batterij. Dus: 5% verlies tijdens deze thread bijvoorbeeld in 15 minuten. 3 % in 15 minuten is netjes. Hoe lang heb je de telefoon?

Ik heb hem een maand. Vergeleken met de resultaten van andere gebruikers in de thread is t niet zo geweldig :/ en sinds me laatste reactie is het wat verslechterd. T is nu 4% in 15 min. Ik heb tevens accubattery geinstalleerd en daar is het ook duidelijk te zien. Normaal bij het openen en sluiten van apps was het verbruik 10% per uur. Het is nu 13-14%. Ik weet niet wat de oorzaak is

Yes, simply turn off notifications for it in the notifications menu in the phone settings
