My husband just tried to cast a video from his Samsung Gallery on his S23U to our new Samsung S90C tv and discovered he has no "Show on TV" option from the Share option in his Gallery. I tried from my S23U and the Show on TV option is an option on my phone.

Tried a chat with Samsung support and they were worthless - told me to take phone in to a UBreak store to be fixed or mail it in (we live in rural mountain town several hours from nearest store). Wondered if anyone else has had this problem and a possible fix? Just seems like something that could be fixed by download of an app...

Attaching screenshot of steps taken (this was from VZW and we are on TMo and his phone is a TMo branded carrier phone while mine is Samsung factory unlocked). Did check Gallery versions and we are both on same updated version.

You can try to reset these 2 things see if it comes back

1. Settings>general management>reset>reset settings

2. Settings>apps>3 dots upper right corner tap>reset app preferences

I would start with that first reset app preferences and also reboot your device

We typ use the 'Smart View - Mirror screen' from the Quick Settings menu. We first go to the Home UI on our Sony tv's > and click on something like 'screen mirroring', then we tap the 'Smart View - Mirror screen' on our Androids, and they typ link right up, showing the phones on the tv. Would that not work for you?

Is it possible he accidentally deleted the availability? I keep my share list small on purpose. I think the edit pencil in the top lets you select more apps than the ones selected on that screen. As you can see, I have it deselected as an option in mine (on purpose since I do not use it)
