Question Google Assistant misconfigured after Redmi Note 11 system update

Hello,
One of the family phones is Redmi Note 11.
It was updated to MIUI Global 14.0.2

Unfortunately, after the update, Google Assistant app is misconfigured.

Disabling Google Assistant from the phone settings didn't help.

When a "button" is pressed, Google Assistant window "jumps up" to the screen.
And there are some other cases when the annoying Google Assistant screen pops up.

I am quite sure the app of Google Assistant is misconfigured.
That's because when I open Google Play and go to that specific app (i.e. to "Google Assistant") - the Google Play per-app screen doesn't load correctly, it keeps loading as if the system tried to retrieve some info about the app, but cannot finish rendering the screen since there is an issue.

So I cannot uninstall / disable / upgrade Google Assistant

Anyone can help to find a remedy?

Welcome to Android Central! Let's see if @Madd62 or @dangerousfen, who are both familiar with Xiaomi, have encountered this.

I recall some small issue similar to that, probably with MIUI 13 or now 14.
Did you mean, like me, you normally don't use Assistant

For now, and I had a brief look yesterday and today, possibly try (and I'm sure there's a shorter route on a Google app but it may not work)
(Phone) Settings - Google - Settings for Google Apps - Search, Assistant and Voice - Google Assistant - (here why not take a break for lunch!) - Hey Google and Voice Match.... and you should find this screen below ... :

You probably went that route, so let us know and I can search more thoroughly or investigate later.

(My Xiaomi has a Poco launcher on MIUI 14 but it's virtually identical to a Mi 10 Lite I kept)

Also have you tried Settings - Additional Settings - Gesture Shortcuts

and Additional Settings - Accessibility - and try all the tabs there
