This seems to work but when I swipe I go from the first tab to the last. Smaller 'swipes' didn't work at all. :-\Hey everyone,
New to this forum and loving it so far. Searched and couldn't find a thread for Tips and Tricks with the Nexus 7. If you found anything post it up and perhaps someone didn't know about it.
One thing I noticed is in Google Chrome if you have multiple tabs open you can just swipe the screen to change them. Don't have to click on them. So if you have like 6 tabs open just start swiping the right side of the screen and it changes them.
Anyone got any tips or tricks to share? I'd personally love to read em so I can get the most out of this device.
Here you go guys/gals. Thank me later ;P

Download the ultimate rotation app from the playstore, you will then be able to enable the home screen to go into landscape mode, without your nexus 7 having to be rooted
This isn't necessary.
Just tap on the rotation icon located to the immediate right of the date at the top of the notification area. This unlocks and locks screen rotation.
Ever want to print from your Nexus 7? If you have a network enabled or WiFi printer, then you may be able to print. You just have to get the free Cloud Print app and configure your printer through the GOOGLE Cloud Print page. To print, you just hit the 3 dot configure button and choose Share. Then choose Cloud Print. I only tried it on a web page so far.
Asking Google Now "What's my name?" should give you a little laugh.
Maybe, but I wouldn't count on it. Amazon may not make money on the Fire, and they may just want you in their ecosystem, but if they get you to buy a Fire you'll likely remain in their ecosystem exclusively, that is the real point of the Fire, the Fire doesn't just enable you to use their ecosystem, but it also stops you using Google's Play Store. And their instant video service may be something they feel they can withhold from regular Android, since it runs on the Fire already they could have made it available for regular Android a long time ago if that is what they wanted. Ultimately whether there'll be an Android app for it depends on them deciding it will be more profitable than keeping it exclusive to the Fire. This isn't true. Amazon doesnt make more money by having you on a Kindle fire. They just want you in the ecosystem. This app will be coming to Android. Eventually. Just like the Kindle, Amazon MP3, and Amazon app.
those are really cool (& helpful for a newcomer like me).
thanks!
