Well, after almost 2 long years i finally made the switch. I felt almost obligated to stick it out with the Pre that I had waited in line for on release day but I just couldnt hold out any longer. I know the timing probably seems off (With the HPalm announcement just on the herizon) but here I am. My HTC Evo should be waiting patiently in my mailbox when I get home from work tonight. Extremely excited to get his thing out of the box! I am a complete virgin to the droid OS, what should be done first? Where should I go? The anticipation is killing me! Glad to be a new member of this community!

First thing is to get used to the phone and play around with it.
Once you do that then look on how to root it and then go from there.
