Hey WAWood8,
How are you doing? Honestly, I find your comments a little confusing. You claim to have had thee GS3 phones fry their SD cards and you maintain that it's not bad luck. However, you also believe it's not an "epidemic" and a small percentage of GS3 customers have this problem. Yet, you also say that you only know two people who have this phone and they both have this problem.
I know 8-10 people who have GS3 and none of them have fried their SD cards. From what I can gather, none of them have any technical problems with their phones thus far. Does that mean I have good luck? Maybe. But if you truly believe this isn't an epidemic on GS3 phones, then I would say it's bad luck (for lack of a better word).
Either that, or you're abusing your phone to the point of its SD card frying. Or the phone's being placed on hot surfaces that encourages cards frying. Or it may just be "bad luck." But whatever it is, there must be a reason why phones in your vicinity are not doing well and the phones in mine are functioning as designed. I don't want to call out inconsistencies, but they do bother me at times. Either this is an epidemic on GS3 phones, your using it wrong, the environment surrounding your phone isn't very good, or it is bad luck.
By the way, did you get a new GS3 phones via warranty? If not, then why didn't you choose a "less problematic" phone as your replacement?
For the original poster, the Galaxy s3 is the best phone I've ever owned thus far. I haven't experienced any problems as of yet and I'm hoping for no fried SD cards. I'm actually consistently delighted to find new tricks and surprises as tinker with my phone. Okay then... take care guys and an early Merry Christmas to you!
