How can I remote control an android device from my PC at a different location ?

I live about 900 kilometers from my 82 year old mother. She uses a Samsung Tab 8.0 for basic functions like WhatsApp, Facebook, Gmail etc. using a 3G sim card. She often runs into problems using the device and correcting it over telephonic instructions is a pain just as requesting her neighbours to set it right is an obligation.
Is there anyway I can remote connect to her device from my laptop or even my smartphone to help her out?
I have tried team-viewer but keep encountering a message that says her device does not accept incoming connections. This is something I have not been able to resolve.
Some proven help techniques would be sincerely appreciated.

Up to today i had a similar question and found an answer - Team Viewer QuickSupport. Regular version of TeamViewer won't control Android devices from PC's, altough viceversa is not problem, but this one is what i'm looked for, good luck!
