How do i convert cdma to gsm?

I'm trying to convert my s3 from cdma to gsm. I've put in all the secret codes I've found, but it's not giving me the options it's supposed to give me.

You can't 'convert a CDMA phone to a GSM one unless the hardware is there. It's two totally different ways of working, and it's a hardware-related change. For starters, if you have a CDMA phone you'd need a SIM card on GSM, BUT CDMA phones don't have a SIM card tray because they work differently (unless they support other frequencies like LTE).

Then what you probably need to do is unlock it to allow use of a SIM card on other GSM networks, but you have to make sure your specific model supports the GSM frequencies. Some phones only use LTE for data but still rely on CDMA for voice.
