How to force max screen brightness on a S6

A

AC Question

have a S6 non edge, and I would like to have the option to turn on the super bright display without having to be in direct sunlight. I do have root access if it makes a difference.

I don't care if it's bad for the phone or battery or whatever, just want to know if anyone has been able to figuare it out.

Turn off power-saving mode if you have it on, and turn the brightness up all the way.

This only works to a point, the level the OP is referring to is an 'supermax-brightness' and contrast level that turns on when the light sensor indicates the presence of sunlight directly hitting the screen. This feature is unaccessible as far as I'm aware. Very unfortunate because sometimes when watching videos and such in the shade it needs to be brighter but isn't getting hit with enough ambient sure light to switch it over.

You can test this on any of the new Galaxy phones by shining a bright flashlight on the sensor and watch as 100% brightness/auto off/adaptive off screen gets brighter anyway.
