Lock screen media control

Okay guys, I need some help. When I had my pixel 5A, if I was playing media whether it was Spotify, or my local media player, if I tap the screen it would wake up to the lock screen with the audio controls on the lock screen so I can fast forward or pause or go back. On my new pixel 7, I cannot for the life of me find any setting that will allow control of any audio player on the lock screen. Am I missing something? Thanks for all your help.

Go to Settings>Sound>Media and make sure Show Media on Lock Screen is toggled on.

Ok, try going to Settings>Display>Lock Screen>Privacy. Is it set to "Show all notification content"?

Do you have face unlock enabled? I believe you lose that feature if you use face unlock. Disable face unlock and give it a try.
