Multi-window not working from holding recent apps

So the other night my wife's and my s9s got the April security update and since then we can't do split screen by holding the recent apps button. We have to tap it, tap the apps icon above the desired app and select "view in split-screen" is there any way to go back to holding the button. We're on T-mobile and both have the nav bar up

If you install Good Lock App you can do split screen little more easier through recent apps .

It was working after the pie update but not after the April security update

I can use it I just can't get there by holding the multi-tasking button

Maybe it doesn't work for all apps

That is true wont for all apps , I give you the Good Lock app because you can put recent apps in list view and little round icon on the bottom you tap to split screen from there just drag
