MY bill is paid for my 4g but it isn't working and it's making me really mad. Any help?

My phone bill isn't due till the 28th and i paid it this month. it isn't working and it's really pissing me off because I'm trying to look something up for class on it and talk to my friend to help me but i can't because its over instagram and it needs wifi but it's not working. HELP
