My calendar only offers me an email as a notification.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Core Prime phone. I would like to have a ringtone notification. Is there a way to reconfigure this or do I need to download a different calendar app? I did download notification tones from Zedge but I haven't found a way to use them with the calendar.

Zedge doesn't always put the ringtones in the place you want them. Your phone probably has different folders for "ringtones" and "notifications". You may need to use a file manager and move the sounds you want from the ringtones to the notifications folder.
