Nearly 6 months on and with an S9 on pre-order, how has the Note8 held up?

Bixby is very useful and powerful. I configured commands and use them everyday. I hope there is a way to schedule or execute them based on location. That will make it super cool.

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm not putting Bixby down, I've tried it and it does some things very well. I just never really got into the habit of using it for some reason

I don't use Bixby for 2 reasons.

One, the voice recognition needs serious work. Where GA has a 98% hit rate, Bixby is more like 75-80% for me.

Two, I don't use assistants much, if at all.

The voice recognition, hopefully.

As for me not caring for AI assistants, don't think so. GA has not made me use it much. Doubt anyone will
I understand. I use Bixby every day all day. I use Google Assistant When I'm at home using my Google Mini. That's why it's important that Bixby works for me because it's problematic to try to use Google Assistant on both devices at home.

Yep, I can see its usefulness when you have smart speakers around the house.

Sadly, I don't own a Google Home or Amazon Alexa, so the usefulness of these assistants is unfortunately handicapped for me unless I get one, which I don't plan to at this moment.

let's see how bixby holds up long term. as mentioned 2.0 might change things. if Samsung keeps up on upgrading and updating it could be excellent. my biggest issue is the fact that I can say, not yell ok Google from across the room and it works, bixby might hear me but never gets it correct if at all. contextually it is also bad.
