Need a suggestion for a new TV tuner

My old TV is converted to a digital signal with a small, no-name converter supplied by the cable company. The previous HTC tuner was programmed to this box by pointing the tuner provided by the cable company to the phone and pressing the corresponding buttons. The new Peel tuner doesn't offer that option. Do any of the other available tuners offer that type of setup?
