I'd like to get a Galaxy Note tablet to try out Android on a tablet for the first time. One of the features I'd like the tablet to have is multi-user accounts.
I know the Note 10.1 2014 edition has multi-user accounts, but its not clear to me if this is also the case on the original Note 10.1

Could someone please clarify this for me?

The original Galaxy Note 10.1 runs Jellybean 4.1.2. Multi user is not available until 4.3. So if you want Multi user you need to buy a device with 4.3 or higher.

Ah, ok. However, according to Wikipedia it runs 4.4.2 in Europe.

I'm in Europe so would be interested to know if the European variant has multi-user support
(my understanding is that even if the version of Android is 4.3 or higher, multi-user support might be disabled by the manufacturer)

According to this one http://learn.yancyparedes.net/2014/06/samsung-galaxy-note-10-1-2012-edition-kitkat-upgrade/ it has a multiuser feature. But I cant confirm does it work or not because Im running Android 4.1.2 on my Note (phone model) - they havent yet released Kitkat for N8000 in Nordic region. (For wifi version N8010 it is out).

Kitkat in Europe
N8000 Germany and Poland
N8010 Nordic countries, Italy, Lux, Switzerland, Spain, Slovakia, Netherlands, Germany, UK, France
