Here is my current setup....I obviously like having alot of widgets, but you may notice I don't have any icons on screen except for in the lockscreen. I haven't seen anyone else try this, but what I do is I use folder organizer combined with launcher pro to keep icons off screen. If you look at the docks on the bottoms of my screens, you will see the folders. The root explorer folder opens up root apps, tools icon opens up tools folder, etc. On the lockscreen, the little robot guy opens up to my lockscreen apps (soundhound, pandora, etc.)

This allows me to use alot of widgets but still keep my screen relatively clean.

I'm hyped to be posting in this thread, as I came over from BB and this is one of the main threads I followed. I got a million app and theme ideas from this thread.

Oh yeah, where you see the Airborne wings are where pics of my 2 sons really belong. Didn't want to post those online, so I used the wings as placeholders.

I also use gesture commands to get more out of my bottom dock. Any middle icon gesture on any of the 3 dock screens brings me to my camera folder. Swipe on the message icon and it goes to handcent. Swipe on reference, takes me to lock screen. Swipe on people icon, opens up google gesture search.

I can't figure out how to put these icons in my dock. Everytime I try to change to a custom icon it just takes me straight to my gallery.

also, how are you getting notification badges on your mail and text widgets? it's the biggest reason i haven't tried to make a setup like that yet...

Wow. I agree with others. That setup is fantastic. You should package that and sell it in the market. Or at least tell us how to do it.

Thanks guys! And yes the concept comes from the xda forum.

In regards to the notifications, there is a modified sms notifier out there that incorporates sms, gmail, missed calls into the 3 different icon pictures. I'll post a link later tonight if I have time.

I'm running the newest tranquility rom with nexus theme.
