RAZR HD wont turn off. Broken?

So I was browsing around on my RAZR HD and all of a sudden it freezes and won't turn off, the screen is just still at the last place I had it at. I try leaving it on all night to drain the battery without any success and I'm not sure what to do now. Is there any way to make the screen go to black?

Pressing and holding Power + Volume Down for 20 seconds should reboot your phone. This is our substitute for a battery pull.

Maybe next time you get a phone you should read the manual. It tells you exactly how to fix this.
