Question Samsung A71 not able to place calls in certain areas in Cuba

Hello,

I sent a Samsung Galaxy A71 cell phone for m y friend in Santiago De Cuba. The phone works in the tech district. She is able to place calls. But as soon as she gets home, she she can no longer place nor receive calls. She can however still browse the internet. She also has an older Motorola which works in both locations. Not sure why the Samsung doesn't.

I have tried sending the small cell phone signal enhancers that stick on to the back of the phone but no luck.

Can someone provide any insight on what the problem might be? The old Motorola works but the Samsung does not.

The area she lives in may not support the bands the phone requires.

There are 8 variants of the A71, and some of them might have different band compatibility, which could contribute to the issue that rvbfan mentioned. Any idea what the exact model number of the phone is?

Restart your Phone
or, Try a Different SIM Card
