Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Screen shuts off after a few seconds then turns on again

[Android Central Question]

We are talking about a 3-year-old device, the screen is cracked pretty severely, but I have seen worse. When I turn on the device everything works perfectly, but after about 15 - 20 seconds the display turns full white. I press the power button putting the phone to sleep, and again to wake it up and it works perfectly again. I have tried a factory reset with no luck. I have absolutely no idea what would cause an error like this.

Even with everything working a cracked screen can't be ruled out why this is happening, it could of caused enough shock to damage the digitalizar or component inside the phone .

Have you tried safe mode? If it still happening there I would suggest a repair center.
