Step count missing from Samsung Health on my Note 9. How can this be fixed?

I just upgraded to the note 9 from a note 4. When I had my note 4, the step count worked with no problem, even showing up on my homepage screen. I depended on my step count for a weight loss program I'm on. However, the note 9 does not have the step count! My history came back when I logged in but my steps are missing and there is no step count at all it seems, on this app, so now I can't even track my steps going forward!

Someone said in this email string, to go to steps and turn it on, but there is nothing that says steps anywhere. Does anyone know what to do?

that is quite odd because mine does have the steps right at the top.

Maybe try to uninstall and reinstall it? And make sure your signed in to your Samsung account on the app.
