hey im a noob with all of this stuff. i tried to root my optimus s ls670zvd. i rooted it okay with gingerbreak and i didnt read the no rom manager thing and i went into settings and tried to reset my phone. now its stuck on the lg loop. no recovery only emergency mode. ive tried everything. sdk manager, kp500 with the lg670zvc but it just keeps goin back to the loop.

help me please!!!!!!!

Have you read through the "ROM Manager + Optimus S = Brick!" thread thoroughly yet? There are some suggestions there to get out of the loop, such as using hardkeys to get to emode. I'll spare you the chiding for not reading, because there is the very real possibility that you have permabricked it. Good luck!

Hi guys. Thanks for finding this method. Sadly, no go for me. I get up to the point where I unplug and replug without voodoo and the LG program on the computer continues a bunch of code, but then it crashes the program on the computer. I do see the Phone Mode 2 though. No reaction from my phone. It's either on Emergency Mode or "Battery Required" after the replug.

1) Radio Brick is not a Perma-brick? I managed to unbrick. Details from beezy soon

2) VC update cab does NOT overwrite recovery. I had my custom recovery after unbricking with VC cab. This is our surefire way to update to VC radio...

3) ..until I figure out how to flash it in Xionia CWMA. Being as it is not a perma-brick (though annoyingly time consuming still), I can test radio flashing more vigorously until I get it to work

4) This will double as a downgrader, including downgrading VC OTA back to V9 for root.

5) This will not replace my return to stock thread since it does not flash everything (recovery, cache, data, etc)

6) Radio unbricks will have a corrupt /cache

Did ya include the brick from....there's an app on the market called "Battery Mod" or something like that and it's a dollar...it completly BRICKS the Optimus S.

I tried this to fix my phone and I keep getting Updating is not possible any longer due to a fatal error while the LG Mobile Phone Software Update. Can any of you help me with this issue. My phone will only boot to the LG screen then goes to a blank back lighting screen. Thanks to all of you for making this stuff possible.

Need some serious help here.. I have a Sprint Optimus S that had 2.3.3 LS670ZVH.
Tried downgrading using LS670V9 and now I have a blank screen on the phone. Tried using KP500
and cab..LS670ZVC_11.SC_11.P60674.cab and now LGNPST reads the phone as S/W Version:LS670ZVC. How can I get it back working or if I can get LS670ZVH software, Can it restore it back to 2.3.3?

What state is your phone in now? Will it boot into android, recovery, ect. Is it rooted, custom recovery or stock?

After pulling battery and restarting, I get the LG logo for 5-6 seconds then my screen goes
blank but its backlit is on. When I use kp500 and flash the LS670V9 cab file I actually get the LG screen that saids
"download is in progress. Do not disconnect cable." but afterward still get a blank backlit screen.

Stupid me tried downgrading but didnt relize that there is a lcd hardware issue with other firmwares and thats where Im at. I need a firmware that it original had LS670ZVH 2.3.3..
What happen to yours?

I got mine off of ebay already rooted but it still had some of the sellers stuff on there so I went to privacy menu and did a factory reset on it (Not knowing that was a no no..) and all i get is the lg logo and a blank screen..Im hoping its fixable..

Just because it is a blank screen does not mean you cannot get into recovery. Possibly just have an old recovery and a newer lcd screen. If you can boot into android, start up screencast then boot into recovery.

I can use screencast on my droid x but NOT on the optimus s. I dont think the LG is in its in usb debug mode so what do I do?
