Unlocked Galaxy S20 - Android 11

I have the us unlocked Galaxy S20 (SM-G981U1) bought directly from samsung.com, using it with Sprint, and still haven't gotten Android 11, that is Ridiculous, all carrier locked phones got it already, it used to be the opposite, the unlocked used to get updates much quicker.

The last update was November!

I kind of find it odd as well. I dont think any of unlocked models not just the S20 series have received the update either. All are carrier models.

This is the exact opposite to the Global, Exynos, S20's where the unbranded, non-carrier, stock Samsung firmware devices dominated the early releases across the board. See, post #5, here.

Just read on Reddit that some of the international unlocked S20 models got their updates a couple of hours ago.

Yeah, I hear you i live in New York this is my first s20+ phone period ever and I been keeping up with these updates everyday, but I don't see a wide bunch of people talking about it either. I haven't got an update yet.

No Android 11 releases to-date for any of the U.S. unlocked, (SM-G98*U1), models, from Samsung. My feeling is that they are using the locked carrier devices as beta testing before rolling out their carrier firmware.

I will note that I have been on the last beta candidate for quite some time on my S20, and there are some serious connectivity glitches in which I am randomly losing signal, both wifi and cellular. Apps are only just now starting to catch up with some of Android 11's eccentricities as well.
