So, I've started getting two weird lines that only show up on images when viewing them in Photos app on my Pixel 3a.
After a long & extensive chat with support & various trouble shotting tests, we came to the conclusion that it wasn't a device issue but possibly an issue within the Photos app.
Two lines appear that look a bit like the screen has an issue but it’s fine elsewhere.
All images, when exported to my PC or even on the pixel to another image app, appear fine with no lines visible at all. Super weird.
If I take a screenshot from within the photos app then the lines are captured.
Depending on the orientation on the screen, the lines will flip.
The are also present when viewing imported images sent to me from other people via whatsapp or other.
So, conclusion so far is that the Photos app is at fault here but I've just installed Ever app to try out a different image viewing app. This gets more odd because when I open any image in Ever, I'm seeing just a gradient background. I then tap the screen and my image will appear but the gradient backround is there.
Here's some screen grabs. 2nd picture shows the gradient background that shows up in the Ever app.
