Android Central Question

Over the last two days the phone that I have decided to stop recognizing that there are headphones in. I know the headphones work, because they have for weeks until yesterday. They spontaneously started working again but then stopped. Also, a different pair and my splitter are also not recognized. There was no dust when I used the toothpick, and rebooting didn't fix it. I have no access to compressed air. What now?

Welcome to Android Central! Which Motorola phone? Does this also happen in Safe Mode? Are you certain the plug is pushed in all the way?

Cans of compressed air are inexpensive and available at most office supply stores or basic department stores like Target or Walmart. You don't have any around?
