Why does my phone say I cannot save media, when the storage permission is allowed?

[Android Central Question]

I get a pop-up on the bottom of my screen when trying to save media, from apps like Medibang Paint and Discord, saying that permission to access storage hasn't been granted. Problem is, those apps have access to my storage already. I used to be able to save media from them too. Why can I suddenly not do this, despite no settings being changed?

Have you double check that it's enable or your remember from last time?

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Are you trying to save to Internal Storage or an SD card?
