Why doesn't my a51 receive iphone messages??

[Android Central Question]

New phone, galaxy a51, a SD it won't receive individual text messages from iPhone. It will however receive group texts from iPhone users.. I've checked every setting possible. What is happening, and how can I fix this???

The most common problem is related to your phone number being previously associated with an iPhone. If that is the case:
- you need to unregister the phone number with the iMessage service at the Apple servers,
- your iPhone friends need to reset your contact info on their phones to be SMS not iMessage.
