So I got a pixel xl six months back. The GPS functioned properly for a while ( I can't say exactly when this started) but in the last month or two my gps( maps, weather, location service) shows me in Perry township, Ohio. Problem is I live in Kalamazoo Michigan. Probably 5 hrs from there. Wondering if there are any known fixes. I did a search on here before posting and didn't see anything. As well as several Google searches. My phone is not rooted, using the stock pixel launcher. I leave location services on all the time. The problem doesn't seem to be tied to a specific time( at home or in a certain location). Very random. Thanks for looking.

When it's acting up it shows me in Ohio. Other times it shows me correctly in Michigan. When it screws up it is always the same incorrect location ( perry township, Ohio)

Try using only GPS for location at that spot, see if the problem recurs.
I'm guessing a bad cell tower or something, reporting incorrect location data.

I'm no expert, geek, or phreak but there are VPN services that report you as being somewhere you are not. There are VPN apps for Android. Is there a VPN involved?

Second vote for bad cell tower. It happens more than you think.

There's one in Hood River Oregon on Verizon that reports it's location as being across the river in White Salmon Washington. I reported it to Verizon in 2013. It's STILL not fixed.
