See, i like the stock rom, just used titanium to remove the junk. Can i still update with it rooted?
Not sure if the OP is still hanging around, but for example, a new GB leak surfaced last night that is rumored to be THE official GB release for the Thunderbolt. (Apparently voicemail notifications still don't work, so who knows though...)
Here it is, already rooted and ready to be flashed in Clockwork Recovery...

Granted, this *may* not end up being the official GB release, but the point is, it took less than 24hrs for this release to get a root treatment -- this is why there is NO need to UNroot to get Verizon official updates. Frankly, if you are rooted, I may recommended trying out certain ROMs that have even more goodness baked in, but even if that's not your cup of tea, you can also install a rooted stock version of the OS if you wish.
