I have only seen reference to this in a forum about the desire, so I thought I would mention it here, not sure if it has been covered already. My apologies if it has, this is my first post.
I recently noticed killing the calender obex process from Settings>applications>running services>calender obx has significantly increased my battery life.
I was seeing Up time = Awake time all the time under settings>about>battery
After terminating the obex calender service, the awake time is significantly less than the up time.
In the post about this regarding the desire it mentioned that the cause was from a twitter account syncing. In my accounts sync I only have google mail, google contacts, and weather syncing automatically. I have noticed disabling the obex calender service delays the receipt of emails.
I was wondering if anyone else has seen this, or is there a permanent solution out there somewhere I may have missed? Also, are there any other negative implications other than the htc sync function?
