4g only mode?

I used to have a thunderbolt and there was an app to force the thunderbolt into 4g only mode and wouldn't pick up any 3g is there an app like that for the galaxy nexus?

I am not sure if there is an app like that, but why would you want to be just on 4G? Is it battery life? What happens when you go to an area with no 4G?

Sometimes if I'm in a 4g area my phone will still be in 3g so in order to put my phone is 4g I have to put it in airplane mode then when it connects it will be in 4g so it would be easer if there was just an app for that

I notice the same thing on my GN, but I just leave it alone and sooner or later it goes back to 4G. I am not sure why the 4G signal is lost.
