I am really hoping someone here can help me out. I have an S3 on 4.3 and it's flashed from Verizon to Selectel and I want to be able to check out some roms, but will lose my carrier flash in the process and I don't have money growing on a tree to keep paying some ****** $40 a pop to reflash to Selectel. So i was wondering if there is/are any methods to backing up this information and then put it back in after I flash a new rom? Or maybe someone can either explain and or point me in the direction of how to flash the carrier info back myself... though this would require it to be a dummies guide with step by step hold my hand directions.
Also have another question... if my phone is Verizon and using Selectel, wouldn't that mean it's sim unlocked? So couldn't I just go to for example... to Metro PCS and sign up with them and simply put their sim card in and it work? Not sure exactly how any of this stuff works, so forgive me if I am asking a rather silly question.
