Firetv stick - autostarting side loaded apps

I want to sideload xbmc/kodi onto a firetv stick I'm thinking about buying. I already know how to install xbmc but I don't know how to get it to autostart right away when I turn on the stick.

Is there a way to do that? I know with regular android, there are autostart apps I can use but I didn't know if those apps are available on the firetv stick.

Also, is there a way for me to install the google play store onto the stick? Thanks.

There are two ways, ADBFire or LLama.

I highly recommend the ADBFire method since it is easier, and gives you the chance to add it to the Fire Menu if you wish. This way you can access everything else. Also, the easiest way to use Llama is through ADBFire. I am not sure how the autoload function works, but using Llama you tell Lllama that when you click on a particular icon, to run Kodi/XBMC instead! ADBFire even lets you change the icon! So it looks like an officail app on Kodi/XBMC
