Anybody with 5.1.1 can they confirm if it fixed the ram/memory issue? I have the s6 edge and I will close all apps and the minute I start playing jurassic world my ram is over 90% in red zone and I'm looking forward to 5.1.1 this month or next month.

It seems to be improved in stock Android on phones like the Nexus 5 and 6, but there are still a few resilient ones. Not nearly as major as the ones in 5.0.x that would make having to reboot every day almost a necessity

Yeh I have had to start restarting my phone because the memory is getting filled up every few mins. The restarting has given it a temporary fix.

Sad to see even flagships such as the S6 having such issues because of Lollipop :(

I'm done with feeling like my note 4 Is slower than it actually is.
Mine is fine. The multitasking is a bit annoying after a few apps, but that's the case on every phone running Lollipop because of the memory leak

Yes it's fixed with 5.1.1 on my Nexus 5. I used to have even the homescreen redrawing itself every single time I minimized an app. Play Music shutting itself down, and Maps too. etc. Not anymore.

Wow, the redraws are gone? I was facing them on my Moto g2 as well. So if I get the 5.1.1 AOSP for my phone, it should work well right? I'm currently on CM 12.1

For me (Nexus 5) that's a yes. I was running 5.1 for a few weeks before 5.1.1 was pushed to my device and it required a weekly reboot. Now after 2 weeks of running 5.1.1 RAM usage has remained steady. Just a note, before my update to 5.0.1(from KitKat) , I did a factory reset , and then again before the 5.1 update, and once more before the 5.1.1 update, overkill perhaps but my phone has been bug free.

It will definitely be fixed in Android M... maybe... since Android M is supposed to be Windows 7 to Lollipop's Vista or maybe Windows 10 to Lollipop's Windows 8 as kitkat was already Windows 7.
