I own a Nexus 5X (Nougat with latest security patch from today). I find that it's very sluggish these days. I tried wiping cache and cache partition, no dice. So I installed a tool called "Simple System Monitor" or something like that. When I use it, it reports that two of my cores are almost constantly running between 90-100%, average CPU hovers a lot around 50%, and the load average around 25-30 (even more for a while), with 4-5 processes blocked.
That doesn't sound right.
With the changes in Nougat, I can no longer file a process monitoring tool that works without rooting my phone. Is there any other way to find out what is hogging my CPU? Are these numbers normal? (Now I see that the load average is running around 10, with six cores active whereas before it was only 4, and a CPU load between 40-50%).
Thanks,
L
