bias for full screen is driving me nuts.

A recent update from Samsung caused Android 8.0.0 to try to force full screen everywhere. Buy far, the must used buttons by me are back and close all and I want them always to be there. But now the have disabled that dot on the left that caused it bar to stay in and instead put an additional bar one hit when swiping up that switches to full screen.

That's odd, I don't see that on the Note 9 nor on my bud's S9. If you go to the phone's Settings, Display, Navigation bar.. is the toggle to 'Show and hide button' there? That's the one that should put that dot there.

I don't see anything related to going full screen or additional bar (except the keyboard one when you're typing, but that was there before).

I turned on the dot, but it does not do anything.

I am using the blackberry launcher, could that be the issue?

Unless the launcher has some sort of navigation bar customization, I don't think so. The dot should let you show/hide the bar by double-tapping it, does it not do that?
