    Hey all.

I did a search, and found tons of threads about podcast players, but none that matched what I'm looking for.

I don't need any download or "finding" features, as I know what I listen to, and download them myself on the computer, then transfer them to the phone.

What I'm looking for is a player that will remember where I left off on the podcast, even after a reboot of the phone.

I had exactly what I wanted with my rooted Vibrant with Cyanogen Mod 7, but recently upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy SII. The stock player is crap. I downloaded Android Music, which is supposed to be exactly what I had. The problem is that when I select a podcast, it zooms through all my music, then plays a random song, showing 317:xx on the track time counter.

I also tried another app from the Market that did the same thing.

    Any suggestions?

I use BeyondPod - it saves the place of where I stopped listening to multiple podcasts no problemo. Most podcast apps in the Market should be able to do this. Not sure now it works when you manually transfer podcasts from computer to phone though as I've never tried that. I just have BeyondPod auto-download my podcasts direct to my phone daily.

I tried BeyondPod today from your suggestion, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how to bring the pre-downloaded podcasts into it.

    Any other thoughts?

I tried Double Twist today, and it's close to what I want. The only problem is that I can't get the podcasts that I downloaded and transferred over to the phone to show on the list of songs, whether listed by artist, album, etc. The only way I can get it to play is to find the MP3 in the File Manager, and choosing to open with Double Twist.

    Any thoughts?
