I'm using the new Google messenger, so far it's simple and pleasant to look at. I also use the Google Keyboard, which compliments the app very well

I use Textra. It is like Google Messenger, but with more customization options.

I was a big fan of Textra, but since I have T-Mobile, I can't get MMS while on WiFi. I have been trying out the new Google Messenger and so far I love it. Does everything I need it to with no extra clutter.

I was using Hangouts for Sms, liked it until they took away the swiping to archive function. Trying Google's Messenger now and like it. Works the same, but with sliding to archive and more colors. Can only attach photos, videos, and voice clips as mms, there is no send location shortcut like there was in Hangouts, I wish it had that, but otherwise works well.
