which mail app?

i have tried the native mail app as well as K9 (for OTHER emails, not the gmail), and I'm not convinced i'm in love with either one. Anyone else prefer a different program?

I had tried to stop K9 from polling one morning to save my battery and it continued to poll.... so I'm looking for something else...
