No audio instructions when using Google Maps navigation for bicycle

When I use Google Maps navigation and asks for route for cars, I always receive audio instructions (turn right, turn left etc.).

However, when I ask for bicycle route, I never receive such instructions. I hear only short, annoying sound.

Is it possible to change this?
Should I use different navigation for bicycle?

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone do you have? What does that short annoying sound sound like?

Try going to Settings>Apps, select Maps, and Clear Cache/Clear Data, then try again.

I have MANN ZUG 3 (Android 4.2).

If clearing the app cache/data doesn't help, then try wiping the system cache partition, which won't erase any personal data: MANN Zug 3 Falcon - Recovery Mode - HardReset.info
