Truly sorry about Ollie passing.
Was he related to Tiny by any chance?

No. But he was part of the overall family. He lived with Saph and Brandy in our loft apartment for about 4 years since their original owner died. Then Brandy died last year of cancer and Ollie lost his eye. And now he has gone too. Even though he and Saph moved to a Bungalow in December. Luckily Saph took in Rio about May and so she is not left totally alone. But it is the last piece of her grandparents she had left that has now gone with Ollie. He was about 11 years old.

So glad that Saph (love her name, by the way) took in Rio. I'm sure that is a comfort. Ollie was a beautiful kitty.

I understand the connection with her Grandparents. After my mom passed, I adopted her parrot Louise. She is a constant comfort to me, albeit a noisy one. I don't like the thought of losing her. It will be like the final goodbye to my mom.

Cute, love bird?

Louise (whom has a sister named Thelma )is a Gold-capped Conure. She is in the same family with Sun Conures & Jenday Conures. She is larger than a love bird.

She is very affectionate... until see she sees a phone or a camera. At that point it's either hide or attack, depending if she has the tactical advantage. If Louise sees the phone screen light up at night, she hisses at it.

It is very amusing, but she is truly serious.
