Archos Arnova 10 Problem with SD card and internal storage-pls help

After installing a custom Android 2.1 ROM, my Archos Arnova 10 tablet cannot recognize SD card nor its internal storage. When plugging into computer via USB cable, I can still access my SD card -- but I can't see the internal storage from computer. Have tried re-formatting SD card many times but it didn't work. Is there any way I can put my internal/external storage to work again? May I flash a new ROM without using the SD card? Or I guess a mount command may help to mount the SD card? Please help.

Really appreciate any recommendation since I'm desperate. Thank you!

P.S. Already root my device with su and terminal emulator.

did u ever get this straight? I have a new Arnova 10 coming(we got it @ a steal) and was curious if this is still an issue with the newest froyo?
